Variety Ball
Honours Michael Flatley
Variety, the Children’s Charity, Tent 41
honoured Michael Flatley with the Variety ‘Entertainer
of the Decade’ Award on the 25th April 2008. He celebrated
with his beautiful wife Niamh, his father and mother, brother and
sister, father in law Tommy and Monica 0’Brien and also many
extended family members and friends, were all there to celebrate
with Michael his achievements.
Many fine celebrities came out to congratulate
Michael on this auspicious occasion, where all enjoyed the hospitality
and great food of the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin 4.
We are ever grateful to Michael Flatley for enabling
people throughout the world to glimpse the soul of our Nation -
through the medium of Irish Dance, to the beautiful Celtic sounds
of Ronan Hardiman as in Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames and Celtic
Tiger and of course where it all began, Riverdance. His rise to
stardom has ensured that our treasury of dance has been much enriched
and we are very proud of his achievements.
His acceptance of this Variety Award has ensured
that less fortunate Children of Ireland lives will be greatly enhanced.
We thank you Michael!
